Folks do love a good easter egg and it seems that Bluepoint has added one to their Demon’s Souls remake. Players quickly noticed a new, mysterious door that wasn’t in the original game. Through some photo mode trickery they’ve discovered there’s an item inside but unlocking it is still a mystery. Here’s another gameplay trailer showing boss fights with the Armor Spider and Flamelurker with a bit of exploration in between. Moore said that photo mode will pause the game, something you couldn’t really do in the original Demon’s Souls, to let photographers nail their shots. But if you’re playing the game online, and you’re invaded by another player, the game will warn you and kick you out of photo mode.
Get ready for one of the best early strength-based weapons in the game. The Crushing Battle Axe is a real damage dealer and can really help take down demons. The regular Battle Axe is dropped by the Boleteria Soldiers, but the real prize is the Battle Axe found in the Stonefang Tunnels. The Hard Demon Soul can be found in the Smithing Grounds (level 2-1) or by defeating the Armor Spider. Regardless of how it’s obtained, the Lava Bow will provide 55 physical piercing damage, while also adding in the 100 fire damage that helped it land its name. It’s also worth noting that the fire damage that it imbues on arrows scales with the player’s Magic statistic.
I don’t envy the team trying to figure out how their next project will be even better but I certainly look forward to it. The difference in Demon’s Souls is that there is much more of a focus on the worlds themselves, and less of a focus on the Bosses. As announced, Demon’s Souls will be released on November 12, 2020, alongside the PS5, making it one of the next-gen console’s launch titles. It was also confirmed that Demon’s Souls will be a PS5 exclusive, which means that it won’t be releasing to the Xbox or even the PS4. During the announcement, Bluepoint Games explained that the reason why the game won’t release to the PS4 is to allow the developers to focus and take full advantage of the technological marvels of the PS5.
Game Of The Year: Which Of The 2025 Game Awards Nominees Will Win?
Death or failure in games tends to quickly become insignificant. That’s why some developers use clever tricks to make us care more about not losing. Slaying NPCs (specially the friendly ones) will shift your Character Tendency to Black.
Because I had died before actually unlocking the next shortcut, that meant having to risk going through the entire level again. It was ultimately a point of pride, and in a Soulslike game, pride and headlong actions are what get you killed. The Invader killer build is to take down the invaders in complete stealth mode using a cloak to stay hidden. This temple knight class build has 938 body form and 656 soul form HP. With this loadout, your character resists all incoming damage, inflicting bleed, poison, and plague. Fans were initially worried to find out that the Demon’s Souls remake would include some new weapons and items for the game in the form of pre-order DLC bonuses.
The Rogue’s Set is a sleek-looking light armor specifically designed for Body Type A. It offers substantial resistance to Bleed, Poison, and Plague attacks. The Blue Eye Knight set is a powerful heavy armor that can be found around Boletaria. The armor set provides various protection and resistance buffs to Bleed, Poison, and Plague. Do note that many of these are missable in some way but everything carries over into New Game+. You need multiple playthroughs for platinum anyway so you will have plenty of chances to go for your missing ones.
There is new content in the Demon’s Souls remake, despite what popular perception would lead you to believe. There’s a new character builder, new items, fresh mechanics, New Game+ options, and even new music that is remarkably just as beautiful as the game’s legendary original score. This is not just a strict remake of the original game with better graphics. But it’s easy to see how someone would walk away from this game believing that to be the.

While these overhauls are impressive, it’s important to recognize that most of the game’s code has gone unchanged. Enemy AI hasn’t been tweaked at all so if you are a veteran who has gone through Demon’s Souls before, you can expect a lot of the same strategies and builds to work, barring glitches and exploits, which have been fixed. If you’re a veteran of the original game, remember cheesing Maneater through the fog door on the bridge? However, combat is the name of the game and if you’ve played Dark Souls or any of its sequels, you know what you’re in for.

In Demon’s Souls Remake, your main place of residence and starting point is an area called Nexus. This area is a safe world and a connection point between other worlds, and ghosts and survivors stay there to travel to other parts of Boletaria through the various portals in the area. And of course, all kinds of deadly and ruthless enemies and monsters that are thirsty for your blood or better to say, for your soul.
Once you are ready, head down to face the six Dreglings, try to hit them fast. Once you have killed them, Ostrava, of Boletaria will jump down. You can also examine two bodies to loot x1 Unknown Warrior Soul and x1 Crescent Moon Grass. Ostrava thanks you for rescuing him and gives you the Brass Telescope.
Be ready to face two Dreglings, one on your left and one on your right. Continue traveling until you reach a corpse that can be looted for x4 Pine Resin. Get back and now head right, you will follow a corridor until you reach a seemingly dead end. There’s a hole on the right, beware of the three Boletaria Soldiers in there.
Demon’s Souls was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and remade from the ground up for the PlayStation 5. Fans of the original can expect a faithful reimagining of the fallen kingdom of Boletaria and go back to slay enemies on current-generation hardware. Demon’s Souls remake was released at the PS5’s launch in November 2020.
For starting players, the obvious class to pick first is the Knight or Soldier. They’re simple, dependable classes — most everyone will go with the Knight. w188 ’s Souls released for the PlayStation 3 all the way back in 2009.
I recommend saving those swamps for last — and saving the Penetrator for last. He’s a tough, tough boss that can’t be beaten without a little serious battle experience. At the start of the game, you’ll want to experiment and learn more about the game. Each one can be difficult, and they can basically be completed in any order you want. My recommendations are based on difficult for beginners — 2-1 is relatively straightforward. My first playthrough of the Remake took me roughly 24 hours, and that was with having played the original about 6 years ago, and having a ton of Souls experience.
